I disagree about the mass tourism. Lots of tourists but not the yobbo kind. The Circolo Forestiere (Foreigners Club) is accessible to all and has a divine terrace with umbrellas looking out at the Bay and at Vesuvius. Great for the pre-dinner relax. Lots of nice shops, shoes, bags, scarves, plenty of little restaurants.

Foreigners Club Sorrento is great Foreigners Club Sorrento at the Terrazza delle Sirene is well worth a visit, Wonderful views and the food is both good and reasonably priced. Can't think of many better places to sit and chill out with a drink and some good food. Excellent service as well.
