Godzilla vs. Megalon (ゴジラ対メガロ, Gojira tai Megaro) is a 1973 tokusatsu kaiju film directed and written by Jun Fukuda from a story by Shinichi Sekizawa, with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano. In both films Gigan attempted to leave early before being stopped, either by Godzilla's heat ray or Jet Jaguar ramming into him. While Gigan and King Ghidorah ended up retreating together in the end, Gigan's third attempt at doing so in Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972), Megalon was not so lucky and was left alone against Godzilla and Jet Jaguar.

Based on Ultraman, Jet Jaguar was a friendly robot created by two Japanese scientists who could grow to Godzilla's size. The events of the film saw him form an alliance with Godzilla against the two main villains, Megalon and Gigan.
