Description Waypoints (11) In this one route you will climb to the top of five 4,000 foot Adirondack Forty-Sixers. This trail includes Dix, South Dix, Grace Peak, Macomb and Hough Peak. In order to complete this loop you will need to road walk alongside route 73 for 2 miles.

Dix is a very tough hike with steep terrain, exposed sections and very long distances. The views from Dix are some of the best in Northeast including views of the Green Mountains in Vermont. They say on a super clear day the White Mountains of New Hampshire can be seen off in the distance.
