Port Sunlight was established from 1888, when William Hesketh Lever bought land on which to build a factory, and housing for his workers. Years later, the factory and the village continue to thrive. There are now around 1000 residential properties in Port Sunlight, protected by listed status because of their historical and architectural.

Port Sunlight is a model village in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside, England. It is located between Lower Bebington and New Ferry, on the Wirral Peninsula. Port Sunlight was built by Lever Brothers to accommodate workers in its soap factory (now part of Unilever ); work commenced in 1888.
